Citroen team principal Yves Matton is not ruling out Kris Meeke returning to the team for this year’s World Rally Championship finale in Great Britain.
Meeke flew to Strasbourg last week to meet with Matton during Rally France, but no decision if he will drive at Rally GB has been taken yet.
The final call will come from Matton and Abu Dhabi driver and ambassador Khalid Al Qassimi.
Matton told AUTOSPORT: “I don’t know yet if Kris will drive in Wales; I am still speaking with him.
“Like I said in Australia, it was better that I didn’t speak with him then and he was clever not to ask me my opinion while we were in Australia.
“One week after it was better, and now I had the meeting with him. We will see.”
