The Luis Suarez-Daniel Sturridge strike partnership is as potent as any in the English Premier League. Having put bottom club Sunderland to the sword last weekend, the duo will be looking for more of the same when Liverpool entertain second from bottom Crystal Palace in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Suarez grabbed himself a brace on his Premier League return after a ten-match ban for that now infamous bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, while Sturridge finished with a goal, albeit a controversial one, and a couple of assists in the 3-1 win over Sunderland.

Palace have conceded the third highest amount of goals – ten – so far, and with Liverpool looking to go top of the Premier League with a win, Palace can expect some heavy ammunition thrown at them on Saturday.

“We all know Suarez and Sturridge are both great strikers and probably two of the best strikers in the Premier League at the moment,” on-loan Chelsea forward Victor Moses told Liverpoolfc.com. “Suarez coming back is a big boost for us and linking up with Sturridge up front is really vital for us this season.

“I think they can both do as well as they want this season as a pair of strikers. The most important thing is that they score for us. I can see them both scoring more goals in every game because their link-up play is incredible.

“I’m just here to do my job and try to support them in any way that I can to make sure that they score more goals.

“Daniel is the same in training as he is in the games. You can learn a lot from him because he is an experienced player as well. I’ve played a lot of games and I’ve been around him a lot, and it’s a pleasure to play alongside him.”

Apart from conceding ten goals already, Palace also have the join worst goals scored, with Ian Holloway’s men managing just four all season. If they are to get anything from Anfield, both of those statistics will have to change for the better.

Team News: Glen Johnson, Philippe Coutinho, Joe Allen Aly Cissokho and Sebastian Coates are all out, with the first four expected to return to the squad not too long after the international break. Midfielder Lucas Leiva missed the game through suspension, after picking up his fifth booking of the season.

Jack Hunt, Jonathan Williams (both ankle) and Glenn Murray (knee) are sidelined for Palace, who are seeking their first win at Anfield since November 1991. Captain Patrick McCarthy, Yannick Bolasie, Damien Delaney and Jonathan Par are all doubtful as Holloway looks to find a way around the extensive injury list.

Key Men: Liverpool: Has to be Sturridge and Suarez, with the Uruguayan likely to be extremely keen to find his goalscoring touch at Anfield as soon as possible.

Crystal Palace: Marouane Chamakh was a big flop at Arsenal, after some initial success. He hasn’t exactly set the world on fire at Palace either, with Holloway recently giving him a ticking off for diving inside the box and trying to win a penalty.

With Liverpool set to enjoy the majority of the possession, Palace will need an out ball and Chamakh will need to ensure he holds the play up well, while also making full use of any chance presented to him during the 90 minutes.
