Nürnberg 1-1 Wolfsburg
Maximilian Arnold continued his meteoric rise with a fantastic goal in the 39th minute to give Wolfsburg the lead heading into halftime. Die Wölfe sat back in the second half, and Daniel Ginczek made them pay for it with a nice goal after coming on as a substitute. Nürnberg have yet to win a match this season.
Augsburg 2-0 Hoffenheim
It was a blast from the past on Saturday as Halil Altintop reached into the time machine and scored twice to lead Augsburg to a big win over Hoffenheim. They’re not sitting comfortably at mid-table on 16 points, while Hoffenheim have 13.
Eintracht Braunschweig 0-1 Freiburg
Braunschweig looked good for the first half, but they were unable to crack the Freiburg defense and score a goal. This was their undoing. Gelson Fernandes opened the second half with a curler that hit the back of the net to give Freiburg the lead. Freiburg stifled Braunschweig throughout the remainder of the match and captured their second victory of the season.
Eintracht Frankfurt 3-3 Schalke
Schalke took an early two goal lead, threw it all away and trailed late, before needing a late comeback to rescue a point against Eintracht Frankfurt. Johannes Flum put his own team behind by a goal early after accidentally heading Astuto Uchida’s cross into his own net. Four minutes later, Joel Matip made it 2-0 with a powerful header. Schalke would hold on to their lead and look excellent for about 56th minutes, and then the bottom would fall out. Flum made up for his own goal earlier by pulling one back. Joselu then scored in the 61st and 68th minute to give Frankfurt an improbable lead. Schalke were rescued in the 86th minute when Benedikt Höwedes finished a long run from Jefferson Farfan to save a point.
Hertha Berlin 0-1 Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen won the match on a goal from Stefan Kießling, but they suffered some awful news when Sidney Sam left the match in the fourth minute with a thigh injury. He’s been ruled out of their Champions League match with Manchester United this week, but it’s not yet known exactly how long that he’ll be out.
Borussia Dortmund 0-3 Bayern Munich

Hamburg 3-1 Hannover
Hannover lost away from home once again, this time losing 3-1 to Hamburg. Hannover actually struck first through Szabolcs Huszti, but Hamburg were quick to equalize with Milan Badelj. Hamburg put the match away in the final minutes when Hakan Calhanoglu beat Ron-Robert Zieler.
Werder Bremen 2-3 Mainz
Shinji Okazaki scored twice to lead Mainz over Werder Bremen 3-2 and up into 7th place in the table. Nicolai Müller opened the scoring in the 7th minute, and Okazaki grabbed his first ten minutes later. Okazaki made it 3-0 in the 70th minute, and Werder seemed left for dead. However, Werder would fight, and Eljero Elia pulled one back in the 85th minute. Then, showing signs of life, Franco Di Santo grabbed a goal in stoppage time to give Werder some hope, but they were unable to find an equalizer.
