Yoan Gouffran and Loic Remy scored in
the second half to give Newcastle United a 2-0 home win over
Chelsea in English soccer’s Premier League.
Gouffran scored in the 68th minute at St. James’ Park and
Remy clinched the victory in the 89th minute. It was the
Magpies’ second victory in six league matches.
Chelsea, which had won six straight in all competitions,
remains tied with Liverpool for second place, two points behind
Arsenal. Liverpool visits Arsenal later today.
