Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov has revealed that he would like to return to Serie A in the future.
The 28-year-old, who has been with the Citizens since joining from Lazio in 2010, has recently been linked with a move back to Italy as clubs including Juventus and Inter are rumoured to be interested in him.
Kolarov spoke to SkySports.com about a possible return to Italy’s top tier and admitted that he hasn’t had contact with any Serie A clubs as of late.
“One day I would like to go back to the Italian league,” said the Serbian international, who’s current contract with City is set to expire in 2015.
“For now, though, I haven’t had any contact with Italian clubs, although I have read many rumours about me.”
Kolarov scored six goals in 82 league appearances during his three seasons with the Biancocelesti from 2007-10 before moving to Manchester City for a fee of around €22 million in July 2010.
