Dani Sordo returned to the Citroen fold in 2013 and in Germany his dream of winning a ‘senior’ WRC event came true following a good fight with Thierry Neuville.
The Spaniard also finished on the podium on three other occasions – when he was third in Monte Carlo and second in Greece and France.
In addition he took good points fishes in Mexico (4th), Sardinia (4th), Finland (5th) and Britain (7th) and in the end scored only 3 points less over 2013 than team-mate and team leader, Mikko Hirvonen.
However, his form of gravel was questionable to say the least, and as a result he was dropped for Australia. He also suffered retirements in Sweden (crashing out from P8 with two stages to go) and Spain (when he went off and broke his suspension while running third). Portugal and Argentina weren’t particularly great either…
In the end you gave him a mark of 5.141, putting him just ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala and seventh in your top-ten.
