Elfyn Evans is one of Britain’s best prospects in rallying at the moment and the Welshman impressed on his World Rally Car debut in Sardinia finishing sixth overall – one of the highest placed finishes for a driver on their WRC debut.
He concluded the year on a strong note too, by taking his debut WRC2 win on Wales Rally GB. It was his third WRC2 podium of the season – after second place finishes in Germany and France.
Overall, he did enough to impress M-Sport boss Malcolm Wilson and he will now take in all 13 WRC events in 2014 with the Cumbrian-based outfit, running in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC, along with Mikko Hirvonen and Robert Kubica.
