Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has admitted to a Football Association charge of making an abusive hand gesture but will contest a mandatory two-game ban.

The England international was caught on camera showing the middle finger to Manchester City fans during the Gunners’ 6-3 defeat to the Citizens on Saturday.
As a result of his decision to fight the two-match ban, the case will be heard by an FA committee on Thursday.
Should the decision be upheld, Wilshere will miss Arsenal’s upcoming fixtures against Chelsea and West Ham.
Liverpool’s Luis Suarez was suspended for one match, fined £20,000 and warned about his future conduct after making a similar gesture towards Fulham fans last season.
