The English media have reported that Tottenham are planning a January swoop for either Stephan El Shaarawy or Fernando Llorente.
His main target is Milan striker El Shaarawy who has fallen down the pecking order at San Siro with the arrival of Kaka and Alessandro Matri.
The Sunday People have claimed that Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is looking to Serie A to bolster his forward line.
The Italian international reportedly rejected a massive offer from Chelsea during the summer, choosing to remain loyal to the team that he supports.
However should El Shaarawy be reduced to a minor role at the San Siro, he may consider a Premier League switch in order to gain a spot in Cesare Prandelli’s squad for the World Cup next summer in Brazil.
Milan have placed a £20 million minimum price tag on the forward who scored 16 Serie A goals last season.
Another option for Spurs is Juventus centre-forward Llorente, who has struggled to establish himself since joining the club on a free from Athletic Bilbao in the summer.
Juve coach Antonio Conte has insisted that he is waiting for Llorente to regain full fitness after the Spanish international spent last year on the Bilbao bench.
However there are growing reports that Llorente may be sent out on loan in order to attain match fitness.
