BT Sport signs MotoGP deal with North One

Kamis, 12 Desember 2013

North One Television has agreed a five-year deal with BT Sport to produce its MotoGP coverage.

BT Sport has acquired exclusive live MotoGP broadcasting rights for the UK from the start of next season.

Details of BT Sport’s coverage and commentary team will not be unveiled until the new year, but North One CEO Neil Duncanson described the approach as ‘pretty ground breaking’.

“We don’t want to give anything away just yet, but it would be fair to say that MotoGP fans will not have seen anything like this. They will be super-served by BT Sport on screen and online, it really will be something special.”

North One Television has won BAFTAs and Royal Television Society awards for its coverage and innovation in Formula One and the World Rally Championships.

BT Sport, free to BT broadband customers but £12 a month for non-broadband customers, replaces live MotoGP coverage on the BBC and British Eurosport.
