MotoGP team Aspar has entered into a partnership with Spain’s former La Liga-winning football team Valencia CF.
Aspar, which is based in the Valencia region of Spain, said in a statement that the “synergistic collaboration” had been made with the intention of “strengthening the Valencia region’s brand on an international level”.
The partnership runs under the tagline ‘Two Teams. One Feeling’.
Under the agreement, a selection of Aspar memorabilia will be displayed at Valencia’s 55,000-capacity Mestalla stadium.
In return, Aspar will display Valencia’s team crest at each of this year’s 19 grands prix.
“The most important thing – and the nicest thing – is that we always want to try new things,” Aspar team manager Jorge Martinez said.
“We can feel very proud of our constant desire to innovate and become more international.
“It is a source of enormous pride to be able to represent the Valencia brand around the world.”
Aspar riders Hiroshi Aoyama, Nico Terol and Jordi Torres were present at the announcement, as were Valencia CF’s president Amadeo Salvo and players Michel, Dani Parejo and Juan Bernat.
