Ducati MotoGP test team already on track at Sepang

Jumat, 31 Januari 2014

The official MotoGP test does not get underway until Tuesday, but Ducati began a private test with its development team at the Sepang circuit today, as this picture (below) posted by test rider Michele Pirro illustrates:

“Busy day at #sepang for heat. The two-month break were felt, but the feelings are good. Tomorrow we will continue the development @DucatiMotor @sidisport @Spyke_spa @SanCarlo # blauer helmets # polizia”

Next week’s test will be the first of three official pre-season outings, at Sepang and then Qatar, although it seems that the factory team riders taking part in the Phillip Island Tyre Test will then not participate in the Qatar test.

Ducati is expected to use the two Malaysian visits to make a final decision on whether to switch all its bikes from the Factory to Open class.

At present Official Ducati Team riders Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso, plus Pramac’s Andrea Iannone, are listed in the Factory class with only Iannone’s team-mate Yonny Hernandez on an Open-spec Desmosedici.
