MotoGP entry list updated, Leon Camier at Ioda

Selasa, 14 Januari 2014

Leon Camier will move to MotoGP this season, with Iodaracing.

The 27-year-old Englishman’s deal is the main change on an updated 2014 MotoGP entry list released by the FIM, which also reveals that Ioda will switch from Suter-BMW to Aprilia ART machinery.

2009 BSB champion Camier raced for the Factory Aprilia team in WSBK, before spending the last two years with Crescent Suzuki. Ioda had been tipped as Camier’s most likely destination, after his unexpected Crescent exit.

Camier – who has nine WSBK podiums to his credit – is the fifth British rider on the 2014 line-up alongside Cal Crutchlow, Bradley Smith, Scott Redding and Michael Laverty.

Paul Bird Motorsport, the other team linked with ART machinery for 2014, is now confirmed as running its own Aprilia-powered PBM bike for both Laverty and new signing Broc Parkes.

Despite recent speculation, Ducati still officially has three Factory class entries, while all 24 grid places are now occupied…
